Doggie Fest Toronto 2026: What to Expect at Roundhouse Park

After being postponed earlier this summer, Doggie Fest Toronto is officially back on the calendar for Sunday, August 9, 2026.
I’ll be attending as a vendor with Zoey Snaps, and I’m looking forward to spending the day meeting more Toronto pups, connecting with local pet businesses and chatting with pet parents about photography.
Whether you have attended Doggie Fest before or are only hearing about it for the first time, here is what you need to know before heading to Roundhouse Park with your furry friend.
Doggie Fest Toronto 2026 Event Details
Date: Sunday, August 9, 2026
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Roundhouse Park, 255 Bremner Boulevard, Toronto
Admission: Free
Roundhouse Park is located in downtown Toronto, next to the CN Tower and a short walk from Union Station.
What Is Doggie Fest Toronto?
Doggie Fest is a free, dog-friendly community event that brings together local pet businesses, organizations, dog owners and, of course, plenty of dogs.
More than 30 vendors are currently expected to attend, covering everything from treats and pet products to health, wellness, community groups and professional services.
It is a great opportunity to discover Toronto pet businesses that you may not normally find in one place, while enjoying a summer afternoon surrounded by dogs.
You do not need to have a dog to attend either. Anyone who enjoys meeting dogs, supporting local businesses or exploring Toronto pet events is welcome.
What to Expect at Doggie Fest
Visitors can expect a busy afternoon with local vendors, dog-focused activities, giveaways and plenty of opportunities to meet other members of Toronto’s dog community.
Part of the fun is simply walking through the event and discovering businesses you may not have encountered before.
You might find a new favourite treat company, learn about a local pet service or connect with a business that can make life with your dog a little easier.
Come Meet Zoey Snaps
I’ll be at the Zoey Snaps booth throughout the event, right across from the mini train station, so please stop by and say hello.

One of the things I am most excited about is seeing so many Toronto pet businesses together in one place.

Toronto Dog Moms
Toronto Dog Moms is a community built for pet parents, known for events like Barket Market, Dogsville, and Paws Walks, plus a dog-friendly city map and other local resources. At their Doggie Fest booth, you can snap a free photo, enter to win a giveaway worth $100+, and check out some TDM merch.
VEG ER for Pets
VEG ER for Pets is home to Canada's first approved open-concept pet emergency hospital, meaning you never have to leave your pet's side, from exam to surgery. All pets are welcome, big, small, scales and tails, they treat all pets. Stop by their booth to learn more, contribute to their community emergency care fund, or grab a pup cup.
PawsNatural
PawsNatural is a Toronto pet retailer offering natural pet foods, supplements, and accessories chosen with your pet's health and wellbeing in mind. If you're looking for holistic, high-quality options for your dog or cat, their booth is worth a stop.
Royal Dog Chains
Royal Dog Chains will be on hand with premium, built-to-last dog chains. Their team professionally measures your dog to find the right fit, whether you're after something bold, functional, or eye-catching for your best friend.
FarmFetch
FarmFetch will be serving up fresh, gently cooked dog food and freeze-dried toppers made with real, whole-food ingredients, with plenty of free samples for your pup to try. Can You Bring Your Dog to Doggie Fest?
Yes, Doggie Fest is designed with dogs in mind. That said, a busy downtown event may not be enjoyable for every pup.
There will likely be plenty of people, unfamiliar dogs, new smells and activity throughout the park. If your dog becomes nervous or overwhelmed in crowded environments, consider visiting during a quieter part of the day, taking regular breaks or attending without them.
There is nothing wrong with leaving your dog at home if that will make the day more comfortable for both of you.
If you do bring your dog, keep an eye on their body language and give them space when they need it. The goal should be for the outing to remain fun, not something they need to push through.
Be sure to review the organizer’s latest pet rules before attending, as event policies may be updated.
What to Bring
A little preparation can make the day much more enjoyable for you and your dog.
Consider bringing:
Water and a portable bowl
Poop bags
A secure, non-retractable leash
Small treats
Anything your dog needs to feel comfortable in a busy environment
Roundhouse Park has open areas, but shade may be limited depending on where booths and activities are positioned. Check the weather before leaving and plan around the heat if necessary.
Getting to Roundhouse Park
Roundhouse Park is easy to reach by public transit. Union Station is only a short walk away, making the TTC one of the simplest options for attending.
If you plan to drive, look into parking options ahead of time. Downtown Toronto can be busy on summer weekends, particularly around the CN Tower, Rogers Centre and waterfront.
Supporting Toronto’s Dog Community
Events like Doggie Fest are about more than finding new treats or collecting samples.
They give local pet businesses, service providers and community organizations a chance to meet the people they serve. They also make it easier for Toronto dog owners to learn about the options available to them locally.
As a small Toronto pet photography business, I am excited to be part of that community and to meet more of the people and dogs who make it so welcoming.
